the Cowal Peninsula will not disappoint.
Dunoon provides traditional food shops and two supermarkets. There is a
golf course a small cinema and an indoor swimming pool and gym. There are
restaurants, pubs and no night club alleys.
Cowal has contrasting natural beauty, lying
between Loch Fyne, Loch Long and the Firth of
Clyde. Sailing and watersports on the Holy Loch and fishing
or calm reflection at Loch Eck, a short drive away. Benmore Botanical
Gardens will certainly be worth visiting at any time of year. Argyll Forest Park, and Loch Lomond
and the Trossachs National Park await your exploration.
From Dunoon you can spend a day meandering single track roads to Tighnabruaich
